2016-2017 NHIAA Division I Champions

March 11th, SNHU Arena
NHIAA Division I Champions

The Bedford High School Varsity Ice Hockey program has a bunch of talent, and a great coaching staff in Marty Myers, Don Palmer, Luc Vaillancourt and Ray Bernard to direct and guide that talent. Evidence of that was shown in the 2017 Championship game, when the Bulldogs defeated Concord by a score of 7-0.  Bedford's top line talent of Griffin Gagne, Jay Roberto and Jack McDonough came out strong.  Jay Roberto notched a hat-trick in the tally, followed by linemate Griffin Gagne with 2 goals. Scoring was topped off with goals by Jake Rioux and Colin Voloshin.  Voloshin's twin brother and net-minder, Erik fended off Concords 21 shots in the shut-out victory. Bedford's depth at second and third line proved to be too much for Concord, wearing down their drive and securing the dominant win. Bedford will graduate 11 Seniors this year, and will again look to its core depth to hopefully build on it's Back-to-Back Championship to win a third plaque in 2018 to add to its previous Division II three-peat accomplishment.
