NHIAA DIVISION I FINALS
The two top teams in Division 1 faced off to determine the State Championship at the SNHU Arena in Manchester on Saturday. Bedford Bulldogs (17-2-1) hoped to hand the Concord Crimson Tide (18-0-2) their first loss of the season. The last meeting between the two teams resulted in a tie. The Tide scored midway in the first on a breakout shot from the top of the circle. The Tide carried much of the play in the first outshooting Bedford 18-9. Concord scored twice in the 2nd period, a power play goal with 5:12 remaining and again on a transition play with 45 seconds remaining. Concord added 9 shots to Bedfords' 6 to end the 2nd. Despite being down 3-0 to start the 3rd Bedford was still in the game and came out aggressively to contain play in the Concord end. Bedford outshot Concord in the period 9-4 but could not score. Bedford Goalie #1 Matt Desmond had 28 saves in net.
