WHO WE ARE
Established in 2013, The Friends of Bedford Hockey (FoBH) is a non-profit organization made up by its members to support the growth of hockey in the town of Bedford, New Hampshire. Central to our mission is to monetarily develop and encourage participation in the sport of hockey in Bedford. The FoBH is committed to equipping our coaches and team administrators with the additional resources, structure, and backing they need to develop Bedford hockey players as both citizens within the community and as student athletes.
HOW WE OPERATE
FoBH is made up of officers, members and volunteers operating under a set of Bylaws with monthly meetings throughout the year. Behind the scenes, the FoBH plans and executes fundraisers and various supplemental activities and support for the Bedford High School Boys and Girls Hockey teams, as well as support and coordination for the Bedford Middle School Hockey teams. The fall and winter are the most active months of the year where the FoBH is heavily focused on its main fundraising events: the Annual Spaghetti Dinner and the Yearly Program Book.
WHAT WE SUPPORT
The Bedford High School provides funds for every sports organization, but with the high expenses of hockey, it can only go so far. The following is what our fundraising helps to supplement and enhance the experience for every Bedford Hockey player and family:
Pre-Season Skates ● Training Equipment ● Warmup Gear ● Team Photos ● Website ● Social Media ● Winter Tournaments
In-Season Ice ● Charity Game Events ● Team Building Events Player Meals ● Senior Nights ● End of Year Banquets
Middle School Hockey ● Alumni Game
GET INVOLVED
FOBH thrives when there is active participation from the parents of Bedford Hockey players allowing us to maintain a high standard of player experience. Participation is encouraged through:
Membership - attend meetings regularly, help guide the direction and execution of FoBH activities with voting privileges
Volunteering - lend a helping hand during an event such as working the kitchen for our Annual Spaghetti Dinner
Fundraiser contributions - buy/sell tickets to our fundraising events or donate a raffle item/basket
Program Advertising - purchase a program ad for your own business or solicit ads/donations from your favorite local business
